Combat Hero Bike Build recognizes the personal sacrifices veterans have made for our country. It’s mission is to develop and implement projects that serve veterans and their families. VetStock is extremely proud to be involved with the build a bike project.
Many of our Warriors come home with both mental and physical disabilities. For some, due to the nature of the injuries, it can be extremely life altering. Motorcycling requires both a mental and physical commitment that promotes the individual’s ability to overcome their newest challenges to experience life as it is meant to be. This program takes the Warrior past the “thank you for your service” and enables them to show others and themselves that nothing can stop the person who wants to move on.
The motorcycle is long associated with freedom and adventure. Many ride for the sense of freedom, many for the sense of adventure, or a chance to be free from the day to day stress of life or all of the above. Many of our wounded are experienced “bikers” but now have injuries that limit their ability to be free. By building, rebuilding, or modifying existing bikes to accommodate their physical needs, we can help get them back mentally to where they need and want to be.
2021 is an exciting year for VetStock as we are able to commit to two bike builds. Our first bike is in the works and will be presented to it’s veteran in Gettysburg, PA in October. We are in the planning stage of a tribute ride to honor the recipient vet, Combat Hero Bike Build, and you for making this possible with your support throughout the year.
