Based out of Northern Virginia, VETERANS MOVING FORWARD, VMF, provides service dogs and canine therapy services to veterans with both physical and/or mental health challenges, at no cost to the veteran. They pride themselves on being a nonprofit improving the lives of Veterans needing service, emotional support, therapy or skilled companion dogs. Their commitment is to match Veterans and Service Dogs based on personality and temperament, needs of the Veteran, and skill set of the dog and staying involved through follow-up care, communications, and refresher trainings.

JACOB—VetStock’s golden puppy was chosen to be named after LCPL Jacob Beisel, USM, KIA on March 31, 2006.
JACOB will be able to perform many different tasks to help serve his soldier. This will allow LCPL Jacob Beisel to continue to serve his country and his sacrifice will never be forgotten. As LCPL Jacob Beisel told his mother.. “If I could come back, I would come back as a dog!”
